Overview
AHUs combine fan sections, chilled-water or DX coils, multi-stage filtration, heat recovery and attenuators in a project-specific configuration. Cleanrooms need HEPA filtration and tight control of room pressure and humidity.
Casing quality (air tightness and thermal bridging to EN 1886) and filter classes (ISO 16890) decide energy use and air quality. EC fans or variable-speed fans reduce power.
Uses
- 01Cleanrooms in electronics and pharma plants
- 02Factories needing temperature and humidity control
- 03Malls and halls
- 04Treated fresh air units (PAU)
Selection and acceptance checks
- Check airflow, pressure, coil duty and filter classes
- Check casing tightness, condensate tray and insulation
- Commission, balance air and measure cleanroom pressures
