Overview
Calcium silicate boards are autoclaved to form a stable crystal structure that resists heat and moisture with little shrinkage. Being non-combustible, they are widely used in tested wall, ceiling and fire-protection systems.
As with any fire-separating product, fire resistance belongs to the specific system (thickness, layers, framing, sealants) in the maker’s test report.
Uses

Selection and acceptance checks
- Check the system fire test report
- Check thickness and density
- Install the system’s framing, screws and joint sealants
