Overview
Fired bricks are durable, fire- and moisture-resistant and familiar to masons. Perforated bricks are lighter and insulate better; solid bricks are used for masonry footings, wall bases and points of concentrated load.
Under Vietnam’s policy on non-fired masonry, many publicly funded projects and high-rise buildings must use a minimum share of non-fired materials. Investors should check current rules when choosing bricks.
