Overview
PU topcoats keep colour and gloss outdoors for years and protect the epoxy below from chalking. Colours usually follow RAL or the investor’s corporate colours.
For exposed steel in highly corrosive environments, a three-coat zinc, epoxy and PU system is the common build. PU is also used over intumescent coatings where the maker allows it.
