Overview
Ready-mix concrete gives a consistent mix thanks to automatic batching, which suits footings, slabs and large pours. The mix is designed for strength class, slump, aggregate size and placing conditions.
In hot weather, delivery time, mix temperature and moist curing must be controlled. Mass pours such as raft foundations need measures against thermal cracking (admixtures, ice, temperature monitoring).

Selection and acceptance checks
- Check the delivery ticket: strength class, slump, batching time
- Measure slump and take cube or cylinder samples on site
- Control temperature and curing to the approved method
