Overview
Polycarboxylate (PCE) superplasticisers cut water content substantially, raise strength and keep slump for long pumping. Retarders help in hot weather and mass concrete; accelerators help repairs and fast-track work.
Dosage and compatibility with the cement must be confirmed by trial mixes. Any change of cement or admixture after mix approval needs new trials and approval.
