Overview
Hollow sections are cold-formed from strip and seam-welded (ERW), or hot-finished for heavily loaded members. The closed shape gives high torsional stiffness, less surface to paint and simple plate connections.
Separate structural grades to a standard (ASTM A500, EN 10219) from thin general-purpose tube. For sections hot-dip galvanized after fabrication, vent and drain holes are required.
