Overview
SBS membranes stay flexible at low temperatures; APP membranes resist heat and UV better. Polyester or glass-fibre reinforcement gives tensile strength and dimensional stability.
Performance depends on the primer, minimum laps, fully sealed edges and detailing at corners and penetrations. Exposed membranes need a mineral-surfaced cap sheet or protection layer.
