Overview
A curtain wall carries no floor loads; it transfers wind and self-weight to the structure through brackets. Unitized systems are pre-assembled in the shop into modules, reducing work at height.
Performance (wind load, water tightness, air permeability, inter-storey drift) is proven by mock-up tests to EN 13830, AAMA 501 or ASTM. Low-E insulated glass cuts solar gain and supports green building certification.
