Overview
Hot air passes through wetted cellulose pads; heat is absorbed to evaporate water, so the air temperature drops. It is common in garment, footwear and metalwork factories and large farm buildings.
Effectiveness drops sharply in humid weather and it raises indoor humidity, so it does not suit moisture-sensitive products or electronics. It needs clean water, anti-algae treatment and regular pad maintenance.
Uses
- 01Garment, footwear and assembly plants
- 02Large metalwork shops
- 03Livestock farms and greenhouses
- 04Warehouses without humidity limits
Selection and acceptance checks
- Assess the climate and product humidity limits
- Size exhaust fans by air-change rate
- Check water supply, bleed-off and pad cleaning
Reference standards
- ASHRAE 133
For reference only. The standards for each project follow its design documents, current Vietnamese codes and the investor’s requirements.
