Overview
Deformed bar is hot-rolled with transverse and longitudinal ribs that bond with concrete. Common diameters run from D10 to D40, supplied as 11.7 m straight bars or, for small sizes, in coils.
Grades follow TCVN 1651-2 (CB300-V, CB400-V, CB500-V), JIS G 3112 (SD295, SD390) or ASTM A615 (Grade 60). Engineers choose the grade from the design, considering weldability and ductility in seismic zones.
Uses
- 01Footings and bored pile cages
- 02Reinforced concrete columns, beams and slabs
- 03Shear walls and lift cores
- 04Water tanks and retaining walls
Selection and acceptance checks
- Sample tensile and bend tests per lot at an independent laboratory
- Check the rolled-on grade and mill marks on the bar
- Check mass per metre and diameter tolerance
