Overview
Plain bar bonds less with concrete than deformed bar, so it is mainly used for links, dowel bars at joints in concrete pavements and slabs, and anchor details. Small diameters are usually supplied in coils.
Grades follow TCVN 1651-1 (CB240-T, CB300-T) or JIS G 3112 (SR235, SR295). Dowel bars need square-cut ends and a debonding coat as specified.
