Overview
Pre-painted sheet is coated on a continuous line: pre-treatment, primer, topcoat and curing. Common paint systems are polyester (PE), silicone-modified polyester (SMP) and PVDF where high colour retention is needed.
Life depends on the metallic coating, paint thickness and environment. Coastal, chemical or hot-humid sites need a heavier metallic coating and a suitable paint system from the maker’s selection guide.
