Overview
Variable-speed booster sets keep pressure steady as demand changes and use less energy than fixed-speed pumps with roof tanks. Submersible sewage and sump pumps serve basements and treatment plants.
Select pumps so the duty point (flow, head) sits in the high-efficiency zone of the curve, with materials suited to the fluid and efficient motors. Critical systems should have duty/standby pumps.
Uses
- 01Domestic water in factories and towers
- 02Chilled-water circulation
- 03Basement drainage and sumps
- 04Water and wastewater treatment plants
Selection and acceptance checks
- Check the duty point on the pump curve
- Check pump materials and motor efficiency class
- Commission and measure flow, head and current
